As of May 25th 2018 Pegasus Physiotherapy will be compliant with all GDPR regulations.

What does this mean for you?

Pegasus Physiotherapy doesn't use your personal data for marketing purposes and it certainly doesn't give your information to third parties without your written consent. Pegasus Physiotherapy is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Your personal data will be kept and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy, clinical records retention periods and clinical confidentiality guidelines unless you agree otherwise by contacting info@pegasusphysiotherapy.co.uk.

Pegasus Physiotherapy will only contact you in regards to you or your animals care (checking progress, appointments ). If you would not like to be contacted about you or your animals care from May 25th 2018 please contact info@pegasusphysiotherapy.co.uk or 07967025775 to opt out. From May 25th 2018 all patients will have this as an opt in option on the consent form.

Pegasus Physiotherapy will collect your personal data when you contact us to enquire about our services/treatments, register to be a customer/patient or book an appointment or complete a consent form. We may also receive personal data from third parties such as insurance companies, GPs, Vets at your request with them.

Pegasus Physiotherapy will store all your personal data securely and confidentially ( name, date of birth, telephone number, address, email address, GP/Vet ) and any data given about your next of kin (name and telephone number) in addition to your notes (clinical history, medical conditions) on an electronic system which is only accessed by your treating physiotherapist. In the case of your next of kin it is your responsibility to inform them that Pegasus Physiotherapy has their personal data and is aware of this Privacy Policy. If you would like to request a copy of the personal data we have for you or change any details we have (apart from clinical records) please contact info@pegasusphysiotherapy.co.uk . If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request you can contact the Information Commissioners Office on 0303 123 1113 or visit their website (www.ico.org.uk).

If Pegasus Physiotherapy feels they need to contact your GP or Vet they will ask for additional consent for this to occur. The only exception of this is when requesting consent for Veterinary Physiotherapy for your initial appointment as per the Veterinary Surgeons 1966 Act and you will be informed of this when you contact Pegasus Physiotherapy to make an appointment for your animal. You can opt to send the consent form to the Vet yourself by letting us know at the time(https://www.pegasusphysiotherapy.co.uk/equine-physiotherapy).

Clinical notes and personal data will be stored by Pegasus Physiotherapy for 7 years since the last treatment as per clinical guidelines (for minors it will be 7 years after the turn 18).

We accept bank transfer and PayPal payments and your data will be stored as per their own guidelines, no information about your payment apart from amount and date will be stored by Pegasus Physiotherapy.
